Let me guess… you’re counting down to the extra day off work? Next Monday is Bank Holiday Monday!
With this in mind I thought about writing a blog around making use of the extra day by diving into something new and completely different. But do you know what? I think I’m going to take this time to remind you to sllooowwww down and have some you time!
Life is so busy but when we’re relaxed we can feel more creative and feel more fulfilled, so enjoy the extra day!
The last couple of weeks have been so busy, with redesigning my new online training programme (watch this space… it will be truly fabulous, even if I do say so myself) that I think I may even take an extra day off! And why not?
Do you know what I plan to do? I plan to treat to myself. And this is my invite for you to do the same. Forget about the washing, forget about the cleaning, forget about the gardening! Dedicate the day to something you truly love!
It could be absolutely anything. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant (unless you want it to be), it doesn’t have to cost a penny. It could be finishing that book you started reading what felt like a lifetime ago. It could be having a glass of your favourite fizz in the garden and watching the wildlife that visits your sanctuary. It could be exploring the nature that’s on your doorstep. Whatever it is, make time for yourself!
I have a wonderful, relaxing massage planned followed by a stroll on the white, silky beach. Perfect!
You may have heard me say this before, but it’s a well-known fact that women don’t treat themselves half enough as they should. When was the last time you did something for yourself? Think about it, I bet it was a while ago. As a women (and even you guys) we tend to assist everyone else before treating ourselves. This isn’t a criticism, I’m pretty sure it’s genetic!
So this week I want you to make use of the extra day and spoil yourself!
Taking some time out to recharge your batteries is crucial in your development and for your health. People these days tend to be so busy, self-care and our own health and well-being seems to have slipped down the priorities list. Make sure you bump this up the list!
I’d love to hear what you have planned so please leave me a comment below this blog or on my Facebook page.
Live the life you love
